Main‐chain polyfullerenes: Taking fullerene to the next dimension

open access: yesPolymer International, EarlyView.
This short review appraises main‐chain polyfullerenes. Their slow development over 30 years has suddenly boomed with a rapid growth due to exciting developments in solar energy. Abstract This mini‐review gives an overview of the development, chemistry, properties and applications of main‐chain polyfullerenes.

Polymersome‐Enabled Multimodal Delivery of Tobramycin and Doripenem for Targeted Eradication of Pseudomonas aeruginosa Biofilms in Chronic Rhinosinusitis

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
Schematic representation of diffusion‐based versus pH‐triggered drug release within a bacterial biofilm. In diffusion‐based systems, drug cargo is gradually released independent of local pH, resulting in rapid burst release and reduced sustained concentrations.

Reconciling Granular Hydrogel Microstructure and Mechanics via a Temporary Thermo‐Responsive and Cell‐Invadable Matrix

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
Thermo‐responsive granular hydrogels (TRGHs), composed of microparticles and an interstitial matrix, exhibit thermo‐responsive mechanical properties and allow cell infiltration. This system effectively addresses the conventional compromise between mechanical strength and porosity observed in granular hydrogels.

Photo‐Switched Catalytic Amyloids

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
Photo‐switched reversible hierarchical assembly of catalytic amyloid fibrils is accomplished by mixing an amphiphilic cross‐ß peptide with a merocyanine photo switch. The peptide monomers, comprising phenylalanine‐lysine repeats, do not self‐assemble in water because of the electrostatic repulsion.

Advanced Manufacturing Routes for Electrodes and Cells in All‐Solid‐State Batteries: From Powder to Power

open access: yesSmall Methods, EarlyView.
All‐solid‐state battery manufacturing requires coordinated advances in wet processing, dry processing, pressurization, and cell stacking. This review summarizes scalable routes for fabricating ASSB components and integrating them into practical cell architectures, highlighting how solvent compatibility, binder design, pressure control, and bipolar ...
