Protogyny in Diamondback Moth, Plutella xylostella (Lepidoptera: Yponomeutidae).
Japanese journal of applied entomology and zoology, 1997 農家のキャベツ圃場で採集したコナガの蛹を20°Cの恒温器内で羽化させ,雌雄の羽化消長を比較した。雌の蛹の羽化までに要した日数の中央値は雄の蛹のそれより1∼2日小さかった。15°C, 20°Cおよび25°Cの三つの恒温条件下でキャベツを餌として120頭ずつ個体飼育し,雌雄の発育の経過を比較した。卵期および幼虫期には雌雄差は認められなかったが,蛹期には雌雄差が認められた。この結果,卵∼羽化までの発育期間には雌雄差が認められた。11月10日(第1グループ)と11月30日(第2グループ)に産下されたコナガの卵を圃場内の百葉箱内で個体飼育したところ,第1のグループは1月5日∼1月18日に,第2のグループは2月13日∼2月27日に羽化した ...
