Plug-and-Train Robot (PLUTO) for Hand Rehabilitation: Design and Preliminary Evaluation

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2021
Hand neurorehabilitation involves training movements at the forearm, wrist, fingers, and thumb joints. Assisted training of all these joints requires either one complex multiple degree-of-freedom (DOF) robot or a set of simple robots with one or two DOF.

TOPOGRAPHIC MAPPING OF PLUTO AND CHARON USING NEW HORIZONS DATA [PDF]

open access: yesThe International Archives of the Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Spatial Information Sciences, 2016
New Horizons 2015 flyby of the Pluto system has resulted in high-resolution topographic maps of Pluto and Charon, the most distant objects so mapped. DEM’s over ~30% of each object were produced at 100-300 m vertical and 300-800 m spatial resolutions ...

Ejecta Transfer in the Pluto System [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
The small satellites of the Pluto system (Styx, Nix, Kerberos, and Hydra) have very low surface escape velocities, and impacts should therefore eject a large amount of material from their surfaces. We show that most of this material then escapes from the

Impact Crater Databases for Pluto and Charon, Version 2

open access: yesThe Planetary Science Journal, 2023
Pluto and Charon are the farthest bodies from the Sun that have been visited by spacecraft where more than several dozen impact craters can be accurately identified and measured. These craters form a critical record of outer solar system impactors in the

The dynamics of Plutinos [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
Plutinos are Kuiper-belt objects that share the 3:2 Neptune resonance with Pluto. The long-term stability of Plutino orbits depends on their eccentricity. Plutinos with eccentricities close to Pluto (fractional eccentricity difference |e-e_p|/e_p=0.3 can

Pluto and the Platypus: An Odd Ball and an Odd Duck — On Classificatory Norms [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Some astronomers believe that we have discovered that Pluto is not a planet. I contest this assessment. Recent discoveries of trans-Neptunian Pluto-sized objects do not require that we exclude Pluto from the planets.
