UF/pMDI Wood Adhesives: Networks Blend versus Copolymerization
Holzforschung, 2002Summary Kinetic evidence from thermomechanical analysis experiments and 13C NMR evidence were used to show that the strength of a joint bonded with UF/pMDI glue-mixtures is improved by coreaction between pMDI and UF resin methylol groups forming methylene cross-links.

Copolymerization in UF/pMDI adhesives networks
Journal of Applied Polymer Science, 2002AbstractKinetic evidence in thermomechanical analysis experiments and carbon‐13 nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (13C NMR) evidence indicates that the strength of a joint bonded with UF (urea–formaldehyde)/polymeric 4,4'‐diphenylmethane diisocyanate (pMDI) glue mixes is improved by coreaction of the methylol groups of UF resins with pMDI to form

Novel pMDI formulations for pulmonary delivery of proteins
International Journal of Pharmaceutics, 2010In this paper, we demonstrate that co-spray-drying a model protein with sodium carboxymethylcellulose (NaCMC) protects protein integrity during spray-drying, and that the resultant spray-dried powders can be successfully dispersed in hydrofluoroalkane (HFA) propellant to prepare pressurised metered dose (pMDI) formulations that exhibit high respirable ...

HPFP, a Model Propellant for pMDIs
Drug Development and Industrial Pharmacy, 2003A novel model propellant for the study of the properties of pMDIs (pressurized metered-dose inhalers) at atmospheric pressure is proposed and extensively characterized. The reasons for the choice of this liquid, with its advantages and drawbacks, are explained and justified. Comparison with existing fluorinated propellants is also documented.

Respiration, 2005
In this double-blind, placebo-controlled, crossover study we compared the bronchoprotective effects of formoterol 12 µg inhaled via an HFA-134a inhaler (Modulite® HFA) versus a CFC and a DPI device in 38 patients with mild-to-moderate persistent asthma.

Isocyanate Resins for Particleboard: PMDI vs EMDI
Holz als Roh- und Werkstoff, 2002The purpose of this paper was to determine which of the isocyanate resins, PMDI or EMDI, was better for use in particleboard manufacture. It was found that particleboards bonded with EMDI exhibited superior mechanical properties than those bonded with PMDI. This was particularly noticeable when the resins were applied at a rate of 2%.

Equivalent Bronchodilation with Salbutamol Given via pMDI or Turbuhaler
American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine, 1999Several breath-activated multidose powder devices for inhaled anti-asthma drugs are now available. Some of these inhalers have been argued to give higher drug deposition in the airways than conventional pressurized metered dose inhalers (pMDI).

Comparative Effect of Biofillers in pMDI Resin Performance
Forest Products Journal, 2023Abstract This study investigated the feasibility of using wood flour (WF) as a partial substitute in polymeric methylene diphenyl diisocyanate (pMDI) resin and compared its performance with soy flour (SF) substituted in pMDI resin. The physical and mechanical properties of experimental particleboards made with WF and SF substituted in pMDI ...
