Forecasting Count Data With Varying Dispersion: A Latent‐Variable Approach
ABSTRACT Count data, such as product sales and disease case counts, are common in business forecasting and many areas of science. Although the Poisson distribution is the best known model for such data, its use is severely limited by its assumption that the dispersion is a fixed function of the mean, which rarely holds in real‐world scenarios.

Targeted regulation of abortion providers and infant mortality
Abstract Introduction Abortion restrictions on pregnant people, such as those that limit gestational age or ban abortion altogether, have been associated with infant mortality, but little is known about whether laws restricting abortion providers and clinics providing abortions have similar associations. This study examines the association between laws

CF‐SBERTHet: Collaborative and Textual Knowledge Enhanced Semantic Graphs for Sparse Recommendations
ABSTRACT Modern e‐commerce platforms face a critical challenge: delivering accurate recommendations under extreme user–item interaction sparsity, where textual context remains systematically underutilised. Existing collaborative filtering methods degrade sharply in sparse settings, while semantic approaches fail to capture collaborative patterns ...

Markov Determinantal Point Process for Dynamic Random Sets
ABSTRACT The Law of Determinantal Point Process (LDPP) is a flexible parametric family of distributions over random sets defined on a finite state space, or equivalently over multivariate binary variables. The aim of this paper is to introduce Markov processes of random sets within the LDPP framework. We show that, when the pairwise distribution of two
