Solar Energy Materials and Solar Cells, 1994
Abstract Metallized, flexible polymeric reflector materials are much lighter and potentially less expensive than the conventional glass/metal mirrors often used in solar thermal concentrators such as heliostats and parabolic dishes and troughs. Unweathered silvered-PMMA reflectors have a solar reflectance at least as high as glass reflectors, but ...

Crosslinking of PMMA Elastomer Block Copolymers Through PMMA Stereocomplexes
1992It is known for some time that in suitable solvents, mixtures of syndiotactic and isotactic PMMA form stereocomplexes.1 The parameters that govern stereocom-plex formation have been extensively studied by Challa, 2 Spevacek3 and others and were recently reviewed by Spevacek.4 Stereocomplex formation is believed to involve the formation of a type of ...

Experimental Mechanics, 2000
The authors performed deep punching experiments on PMMA (polymethyl methacrylate) using cylindrical-shaped punches with conical and hemispherical noses. The test samples cracked when no lateral confinement was provided. Application of proper lateral confinement suppressed the cracks. The punching force recorded from the experiments correlates very well

Die Makromolekulare Chemie, 1981
AbstractSeveral cosolvent mixtures for PMMA are reported. Their cosolvency has been confirmed by studying phase separation temperatures as a function of solvent composition. The results show that they are very powerful cosolvents. Acetonitrile forms such cosolvent mixtures with compounds containing different chemical groups (ester, ketone, alcohol ...

Effects of PMMA concentration on PMMA-based organic capacitor behavior
2012 10th IEEE International Conference on Semiconductor Electronics (ICSE), 2012This paper reports the behavior of poly (methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) as insulator films. The PMMA concentrations were from 0.3, 0.6, 0.9 to 1.2 g. The electrical and dielectric properties results showed that PMMA concentration influenced the insulator behavior in the capacitor.

Crystallization behaviour of pmma-b-peo-b-pmma triblock copolymers
Thermochimica Acta, 1985Abstract New synthesized ABA type triblock copolymers of poly /methyl methacrylate/ /PMMA/ and poly /ethylene oxide/ /PEO/ with constant PEO sequence length and varying PMMA sequence length were examined by DSC to study crystalization and melting phenomena.

Low frequency viscosities of PS/PMMA/PS-b-PMMA blends
Polymer Bulletin, 1991Assuming that the viscosimetric behaviour at low frequencies is mainly determined by the behaviour of the continuous phase, it becomes possible to explain the behaviour of PS/PMMA blends from a limited number of hypotheses. The main hypothesis is that the PMMA layer next to the interface gelifies, while the PS layer next to the interface slips under ...
