Investigation of a Stator-Ironless Brushless DC Motor With Non-Ideal Back-EMF

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
This paper deals with the effects of permanent magnets (PMs) shapes and segmentation types on the trapezoidal degrees of the back electromagnetic force (EMF) and torque characteristics and rotor losses.

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Re‐Awakening Public Attention to the Silent Pandemic of Cancer Among Older Adults in Low‐ and Middle‐Income Countries

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT As global populations age, cancer is increasingly becoming a leading cause of morbidity and mortality among older adults, particularly in low‐ and middle‐income countries (LMICs). Despite accounting for the majority of new cancer cases and deaths, older individuals remain underrepresented in cancer research, clinical guidelines, and health ...

Subclinical Optic Nerve Involvement in Radiologically Isolated Syndrome: Multimodal Detection and Diagnostic Impact

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objectives We aimed to determine the frequency of subclinical optic nerve (ON) lesions using MRI, optical coherence tomography (OCT), and visual evoked potentials (VEP) in radiologically isolated syndrome (RIS), and to assess their diagnostic and prognostic significance.

IDEAL-Cell, a High Temperature Innovative Dual mEmbrAne Fuel-Cell

open access: yes, 2009
IDEAL-Cell is a new concept of a high temperature fuel cell operating in the range 600-700°C. It is based on the junction between the anode part of a PCFC and the cathode part of a SOFC through a mixed H+ and O2- conducting porous ceramic membrane.
