Reprogrammed MDSCs promote Th1‐dominant antitumour response via CD40 induced by autocrine TNF‐α after combining cryo‐thermal therapy with IL6 and IL17A neutralization

open access: yesClinical and Translational Medicine, Volume 15, Issue 10, October 2025.
The combination of IL‐6 and IL‐17A neutralizing antibodies and cryo‐thermal therapy promotes the expression of CD40 on MDSCs by inducing TNF‐α production via the NF‐κB pathway in MDSCs. The CD40–CD40L interaction initiates the Th1‐dominant differentiation of CD4+ T cells, leading to long‐term antitumour immunity.

PNEUMOCOCCAL INFECTION. NEW OPPORTUNITIES IN VACCINOPROPHYLAXIS OF PNEUMOCOCCAL INFECTION

open access: yesВопросы современной педиатрии, 2008
Pneumococcal infection is the most frequent cause of diseases of upper and inferior airways and nasopharynx in children. Also pneumococcal infection may cause such severe diseases as meningitis and pneumonia. The only way of prophylaxis of these diseases is vaccination.

Socioeconomic determinants of vaccination against pneumococcus in 763 945 patients with heart failure

open access: yesESC Heart Failure, Volume 12, Issue 5, Page 3750-3754, October 2025.
Respiratory infections heighten risks for heart failure (HF) patients, yet 2020 data from France show low vaccination rates: 12.6% for pneumococcus and 63.1% for influenza. Using logistic regression on 763,945 HF patients, older age, female sex, and social deprivation were associated with lower pneumococcus vaccination, despite frequent healthcare ...

Revealing VNN1: An Emerging and Promising Target for Inflammation and Redox Balance

open access: yesImmunity, Inflammation and Disease, Volume 13, Issue 10, October 2025.
ABSTRACT Introduction The intricate balance between immunometabolic homeostasis and redox equilibrium is crucial for maintaining health, and its dysregulation is implicated in a wide spectrum of diseases. Vascular non‐inflammatory molecule‐1 (VNN1) is an emerging pantetheinase that sits at the crossroads of inflammation and metabolism, yet a ...
