Patient‐Controlled Sedation in Port Implantation (PACSPI 2)—A Randomised Clinical Trial
ABSTRACT Optimising pain management during subcutaneous venous port (SVP) implantation is essential for patient‐centred cancer care. However, evidence‐based approaches to minimise intraoperative pain remain underexplored. This trial evaluated the clinical effectiveness and safety of the propofol‐alfentanil patient‐controlled sedation (PCS) technique as

Age‐Associated Dysregulation of Postsynaptic Mitochondria Perturbs Reinnervation Kinetics
We show that aging results in postsynaptic mitochondrial loss at the neuromuscular junction and impaired muscle reinnervation. In vivo CRISPR knockout of mitochondrial genes, CHCHD10 and CHCHD2, in young muscles led to fragmented endplates, aberrant innervation, and impaired transcriptional maturation of sub‐synaptic myonuclei during regeneration ...

Summary Introduction Exsanguinating haemorrhagic shock due to major trauma is associated with high mortality. Rapid intravenous volume replacement with blood products is a crucial element of early treatment. When peripheral intravenous access cannot be obtained, pre‐hospital placement of a large‐calibre central venous catheter, known as a trauma line ...

Outcomes of Supraclavicular Access in Temporary Pacemaker Implantation
This study compared supraclavicular versus infraclavicular venous access for temporary pacemaker implantation in 3569 patients. Supraclavicular access showed fewer complications, higher first‐attempt success, shorter procedure time, and improved complication‐free survival.
