β‐Endorphin Mediates Electroacupuncture‐Induced Remyelination via Neural Stem Cell Lineage Modulation in Experimental Autoimmune Encephalomyelitis

open access: yesCNS Neuroscience &Therapeutics, Volume 31, Issue 11, November 2025.
Electroacupuncture at ST36 enhances remyelination in EAE mice by promoting neural stem cell proliferation and OPC differentiation through β‐endorphin–mediated opioid receptor signaling. These effects are blocked by naloxone, highlighting a novel endogenous opioid‐dependent mechanism for neuroregeneration.

The impact of the COVID‐19 pandemic on longitudinal trends of surgical mortality and inpatient quality of care in Ontario, Canada

open access: yesJournal of Advanced Nursing, Volume 81, Issue 11, Page 7556-7570, November 2025.
Abstract Aims Previous studies have shown the COVID‐19 pandemic was associated with reductions in volume across a spectrum of non‐SARS‐CoV‐2 hospitalizations. In the present study, we examine the impact of the pandemic on patient safety and quality of care. Design This is a retrospective population‐based study of discharge abstracts. Methods We applied

A prospective comparison of fiberoptic endobronchial needle aspiration, bronchial brushing, and forceps biopsy for the diagnoses of canine exophytic tracheal and endobronchial masses, and submucosal infiltrations

open access: yesJournal of Small Animal Practice, Volume 66, Issue 11, Page 784-789, November 2025.
Objectives To compare the diagnostic yield of endobronchial Wang™ needle aspiration to that of bronchial brushing and forceps biopsy for canine tracheal and endobronchial masses and submucosal infiltrations examined by fiberoptic bronchoscopy. Materials and Methods Flexible fiberoptic bronchoscope‐guided bronchial brushing, forceps biopsy, and ...

High Efficiency and Safety of Hepatitis C Treatment Among People Who Inject Drugs in Vietnam

open access: yesJournal of Viral Hepatitis, Volume 32, Issue 11, November 2025.
ABSTRACT People who inject drugs (PWID) are highly affected by hepatitis C (HCV) worldwide, particularly in low‐ and middle‐income countries (LMICs), where access to addiction services is often limited. Reducing the burden of HCV, as promoted by WHO, requires effective interventions in this high‐risk population.

Thoracic Ultrasonography in Calves: A Narrative Review of Techniques and Reporting Practices

open access: yesJournal of Veterinary Internal Medicine, Volume 39, Issue 6, November/December 2025.
ABSTRACT Ultrasonography of the bovine lung is a noninvasive technique allowing recognition of lower respiratory tract lesions and differentiation from disease limited to the upper respiratory tract. Techniques for scanning the thorax have evolved to facilitate examination of cohorts of calves quickly, while maintaining accuracy. Classification systems
