Thermosensitive PNIPAAm cryogel with superfast and stable oscillatory properties
Chemical Communications, 2003Through copolymerization/crosslinking in dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) at temperature below the melting point of DMSO, we demonstrated a novel poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) (PNIPAAm) hydrogel with regularly oriented micromatrix; the superfast/stable oscillatory hydration-dehydration character of this hydrogel would find wide applications in biomedical field.

Characterization and cell material interactions of PEGylated PNIPAAM nanoparticles
Colloids and Surfaces B: Biointerfaces, 2010The aim of this study was to investigate the haemocompatibility of poly(N-isopropylacrylamide)-co-poly(ethylene glycol), PNIPAAM-PEG based nanoparticles and the influence of poly(ethylene glycol), PEG on the interactions of nanoparticles with cells.

Grafting PNIPAAm from β-barrel shaped transmembrane nanopores
Biomaterials, 2016The research on protein-polymer conjugates by grafting from the surface of proteins has gained significant interest in the last decade. While there are many studies with globular proteins, membrane proteins have remained untouched to the best of our knowledge.

Thermo‐Responsive PNIPAAm Copolymers with Hydrophobic Spacers
Macromolecular Symposia, 2007AbstractWe have synthesised and characterised three sets of acryloyl(amino‐acid)/NIPAAm co‐polymers. Three different co‐monomers were synthesised and copolymerized with N‐isopropylacrylamide (NIPAAm) by free radical polymerization in different molar ratios (12:1, 9:1, and 6:1). All series contain aliphatic spacers and are carboxylic terminated.

Mechanical and rheological behavior of pNIPAAM crosslinked macrohydrogel
Reactive and Functional Polymers, 2013In this study for the first time we investigate the most common reticulated N-isopropylacrylamide (pNIPAAM) macrohydrogel for both its mechanical response and shear rheological behavior in time and frequency domains. Hydrogels are characterized by water content volume and weight measurements, FT-IR spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy and ...

Protein Resistance of PNIPAAm Brushes: Application to Switchable Protein Adsorption
Langmuir, 2009Protein adsorption, as the primary process occurring when a foreign surface comes into contact with a biosystem, was studied on thin polymer brush films consisting of poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) (PNIPAAm) and poly(2-vinylpyridine) (P2VP). These films were prepared by the "grafting to" method. The protein resistance of stimuli responsive PNIPAAm-brushes
