Mechanical properties of PNIPAM based hydrogels: A review

Materials Science and Engineering: C, 2017
Materials which adjust their properties in response to environmental factors such as temperature, pH and ionic strength are rapidly evolving and known as smart materials. Hydrogels formed by smart polymers have various applications. Among the smart polymers, thermoresponsive polymer poly(N-isopropylacrylamide)(PNIPAM) is very important because of its ...

Foam Films from Thermosensitive PNIPAM and SDS Solutions

Langmuir, 2008
Thin liquid foam films stabilized with the addition of a temperature-sensitive neutral polymer, poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) (PNIPAM), in the presence of varying amounts of an anionic surfactant, SDS, were investigated using the thin-film balance.

Temperature-responsive PLLA/PNIPAM nanofibers for switchable release

Materials Science and Engineering: C, 2017
Smart antimicrobial materials with on-demand drug release are highly desired for biomedical applications. Herein, we report about temperature-responsive poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) (PNIPAM) nanospheres doped with crystal violet (CV) and incorporated into the poly-l-lactide (PLLA) nanofibers.

PNIPAM microgels in external fields

2018
