Developing and Applying a Single Strategy for Improved Intestinal Permeability of Diverse and Complex Phytomolecules: Nanoformulations of Rutin, Quercetin, Thymoquinone Provide Proof-of-Concept [PDF]
Purpose: The clinical use and efficacy of phytomolecules are often hampered as their complex structure, poor aqueous solubility and low biological stability restricts their intestinal permeability which results in low oral bioavailability.

What is the ‘Future’ of Greek? Towards a Pragmatic Analysis [PDF]
The paper investigates the problems related to futurity and modality in modern Greek. The discussion of Greek temporal future expressions is conducted with reference to relevant literature from the areas of English linguistics, cognitive studies and ...

A two‐phase workflow (OFAT screening followed by central composite design) maps how processing variables tune PFCE‐PLGA nanoparticle size, dispersity, surface charge, loading, and 19F‐MRI signal. In situ, time‐resolved synchrotron SAXS tracks albumin‐corona growth on intact dispersions and reveals PFCE‐dependent adsorption pathways.

Background Measurement of serum CA125, an antigenic fragment of human mucin 16 (MUC16), is used to monitor the clinical progression of epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC). However, rather than simply a passive marker reflecting tumor burden, MUC16 may have a

Properties and stabilization of an extracellular α-glucosidase from the extremely thermophilic archaebacteria Thermococcus strain AN 1: enzyme activity at 130°C [PDF]
An extracellular α-glucosidase from the thermophilic archaebacterium Thermococcus strain AN1 was purified 875-fold in five steps (Hiload Q-Sepharose, phenyl Sepharose, HPHT-hydroxyapatite, gel filtration and Mono Q chromatography) with a yield of 4%.

Bacteria‐Responsive Nanostructured Drug Delivery Systems for Targeted Antimicrobial Therapy
Bacteria‐responsive nanocarriers are designed to release antimicrobials only in the presence of infection‐specific cues. This selective activation ensures drug release precisely at the site of infection, avoiding premature or indiscriminate release, and enhancing efficacy.

Bottom‐Up Programming of Cell States in Cancer Organoids with Defined Synthetic Adhesion Cues
A bottom‐up biomaterial platform is developed to program transcriptomic states in pancreatic cancer organoids by tuning adhesion cues within synthetic matrices. By combining a Design of Experiments framework with multiobjective optimization, matrix compositions are identified that enrich specific cellular programs like EMT.

Controlling ion transport through nanopores: modeling transistor behavior [PDF]
We present a modeling study of a nanopore-based transistor computed by a mean-field continuum theory (Poisson-Nernst-Planck, PNP) and a hybrid method including particle simulation (Local Equilibrium Monte Carlo, LEMC) that is able to take ionic ...
