Century‐Scale Changes in the Feeding Patterns of Demersal Fish Species in the Western North Sea

open access: yesFish and Fisheries, Volume 27, Issue 2, Page 99-115, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Understanding the extent and magnitude of change in marine food webs requires historical data that predates modern monitoring efforts. Such information can provide invaluable insights into the longer‐term impacts of altered trophic interactions, yet it is rarely incorporated into marine policy frameworks.

Time‐Resolved Fluorescence and Diffuse Reflectance (TRF‐DR) Spectroscopy for Heterogeneous Breast Tissue Classification and Tumor Margin Assessment

open access: yesJournal of Biophotonics, Volume 19, Issue 2, February 2026.
This study demonstrates our time‐resolved fluorescence and diffuse reflectance spectroscopy system can classify breast tumor in heterogeneous tissue. It achieved sensitivity and specificity comparable to other techniques and highlights the effect of heterogeneous measurements on performance.

Fat‐Corrected Non‐Gaussian Diffusion MRI for Liver Fibrosis Assessment in Metabolic Dysfunction‐Associated Steatotic Liver Disease

open access: yesJournal of Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Volume 63, Issue 2, Page 497-507, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Background In patients with metabolic dysfunction‐associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD), non‐Gaussian diffusion—weighted imaging (DWI) has been proposed for the diagnosis of liver fibrosis, but its measurement is partially confounded by steatosis.

Effect of PNV and involvement of neuronal nitric oxide synthase in expression of mrp1, glut1 and cx43 genes, in astrocyte primary culture, by Real Time PCR.

open access: yes, 2014
PNV increased mRNA levels of mrp1 and nNOS blockade by 7NI counteracted this effect. glut1 mRNA was decreased by PNV, but 7NI+PNV treatment also neutralized this PNV effect. However, cx43 mRNA level was increased by PNV and even more by 7NI plus PNV.

Green synthesis of γ-Fe2O3@SiO2 magnetic nanoparticles functionalized with penciclovir drug: antiproliferative effect, and nucleic acids (DNA and RNA) interaction

open access: yesJournal of Taibah University for Science
This study focuses on generating single-phase maghemite (γ-Fe2O3) using Echinophora platyloba DC. (E. platyloba) extract, followed by a silica coating. Subsequently, the γ-Fe2O3@SiO2 magnetic nanoparticles (γ-Fe2O3@SiO2 MNPs) are functionalized with the ...

Experimentation, Simulation & Analysis of Partial Shading Effect in Solar Modules

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, Volume 14, Issue 1, Page 4-15, January 2026.
The Master module placed in a non‐shaded and camera view cleaning position, compensates for the loss in power due to partial shading of the slaves, improving the GMP. The enhanced PV voltage across the partially shaded arrangement reduces reverse bias conditions and thermal stress.
