Microstructure Evolution in Directionally Solidified Fe–C–Mn–(Si) Peritectic Steels
steel research international, EarlyView.This study investigates how growth velocity and silicon additions affect dendritic morphology, primary arm spacing, and mushy‐zone evolution in directionally solidified quaternary peritectic steels. Silicon substantially broadens the freezing range and lengthens the mushy zone, increasing susceptibility to interdendritic cracking.

steel research international, EarlyView.The in situ agglomeration behavior of semisolid Al–silicate inclusions in Si‐killed steel is studied using high‐temperature confocal scanning laser microscopy. Particle motion and interparticle forces at the steel/argon interface are quantified and compared with a modified capillary interaction model.

World Journal of Surgery, EarlyView.Enhanced Recovery protocols (ERP) are comprehensive, evidence‐based approaches aimed at accelerating patient recovery and improving surgical results; increasing evidence exists about their adoption in emergency laparotomy. The study aimed to evaluate the compliance to the proposed postoperative pathway and the determinants of late recovery.
