Terpenes of Podocarpus lambertius

Phytochemistry, 1975
Abstract Sitosterol and the following terpenic compounds have been isolated from the bark of Podocarpus lambertius: 3β-hydroxytotarol, 4β-carboxynortotarol, and macrophyllic and lambertic acids. The leaves yielded sitosterol, stigmastan-3β,5α-diol-6-one, isopimaric acid, phyllocladene, isophyllocladene, 8,9-abieten-15-ol and 17-isophyllocladenol.

Induction of Taxol biosynthesis by Aspergillus terreus, endophyte of Podocarpus gracilior Pilger, upon intimate interaction with the plant endogenous microbes

Process Biochemistry, 2018
Twenty-four endophytic fungal isolates recovered from Podocarpus gracilior were screened for Taxol biosynthetic potency. Among these endophytes, three isolates of Aspergillus terreus EFB108, EFB59, EFB14 recovered from P. gracilior cork, leaves and twigs,

Podocarpus-like ɑ-Fe2O3/TiO2 composite with balsam pear texture for enhanced lithium storage

Applications of Surface Science, 2019
A unique podocarpus-like ɑ-Fe2O3/TiO2 composite with balsam pear texture was prepared through an economical and large-scale production route. For this composite, TiO2 nanoparticles were uniformly embedded in the gaps between ɑ-Fe2O3 leaves.

Cuticle Micromorphology of Podocarpus, Subgenus Podocarpus, Section Scytopodium (Podocarpaceae) of Madagascar and South Africa

International Journal of Plant Sciences, 1998
Cuticle micromorphology of leaves from seven species and three varieties of the conifer genus Podocarpus subgenus Podocarpus section Scytopodium from South Africa and Madagascar was studied with scanning electron microscopy. External and internal features of abaxial and adaxial cuticles are characterized for all taxa and are compared with other known ...

Cytokinins in Podocarpus henkelii Seeds

Zeitschrift für Pflanzenphysiologie, 1982
Summary Cytokinin-like activity which co-chromatographed with zeatin, ribosylzeatin and glucosylzeatin was detected in the epimatium, female gametophyte and embryo sporophyte of germinating Podocarpus henkelii seeds. The level of endogenous cytokinins increased markedly in the embryo sporophyte prior to the onset of radicle elongation.
