Development of Core-Fucose-Deficient Humanized and Chimeric Anti-Human Podoplanin Antibodies.

open access: yesMonoclonal antibodies in immunodiagnosis and immunotherapy, 2020
Podoplanin (PDPN), a 36-kDa type I transmembrane O-glycoprotein, is expressed in normal cells, including renal epithelial cells (podocytes), lymphatic endothelial cells, and pulmonary type I alveolar cells, and in cancer cells, including brain tumors and

ILC2s chew the fat. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
In this issue of JEM, Rana et al. (https://doi.org/10.1084/jem.20190689) report that adipose tissue multipotent stromal cells (MSCs) provide multifaceted support for adipose tissue-resident ILC2s through contact-mediated proliferation and IL-33-mediated ...

Bone marrow-derived cells are implicated as a source of lymphatic endothelial progenitors in human breast cancer. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Bone marrow-derived endothelial progenitor cells (EPCs) infiltrate into sites of neovascularization in adult tissues and mature into functional blood endothelial cells (BECs) during a process called vasculogenesis. Human marrow-derived EPCs have recently

Whole carcass diets: a role for fibre in gastrointestinal health of cheetahs? [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
This study was undertaken to test the hypothesis that altered podocyte slit protein nephrin distribution is associated with disturbed polarity protein expressions in podocytes from preeclampsia (PE).

An important role of podoplanin in hair follicle growth

open access: yesPLOS ONE, 2019
Podoplanin (PDPN) is a glycoprotein that is expressed by various cell types, including keratinocytes, fibroblasts, and lymphatic endothelial cells. We found that PDPN is expressed in the hair follicle (HF) keratinocyte region and HF stem cell area during the late anagen phase but not during the telogen phase in mice.

Role of tertiary lymphoid structures in the tumour microenvironment and immunotherapy response of renal cell carcinoma

open access: yesClinical and Translational Medicine, Volume 15, Issue 10, October 2025.
Tertiary lymphoid structures in renal cell carcinoma exert immunoregulatory effects in the immune microenvironment by influencing local anti‐tumour immune responses, thereby affecting immunotherapy efficacy and prognosis. Abstract In the tumour microenvironment (TME) of renal cell carcinoma (RCC), tertiary lymphoid structures (TLS) play a crucial role ...

PMab-213: A Monoclonal Antibody for Immunohistochemical Analysis Against Pig Podoplanin.

open access: yesMonoclonal antibodies in immunodiagnosis and immunotherapy, 2019
Podoplanin (PDPN) is known to be expressed in normal tissues, including lymphatic endothelial cells, renal podocytes, and type I lung alveolar cells. Monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) against human, mouse, rat, rabbit, dog, cat, and bovine PDPN have already ...

CLEC-2-dependent activation of mouse platelets is weakly inhibited by cAMP but not by cGMP [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
The present results demonstrate that platelet adhesion and activation on CLEC-2 ligands or LECs is maintained in the presence of PGI2 and ...

Keratinocyte-Expressed Podoplanin is Dispensable for Multi-Step Skin Carcinogenesis

open access: yesCells, 2020
Podoplanin is a small transmembrane mucin-like glycoprotein that plays a crucial role in the development of the lung, heart and lymphatic vascular system.
