WDM over POF - A way to increase transmission capacity of POF

2011 International Students and Young Scientists Workshop "Photonics and Microsystems", 2011
Polymer optical fibers (POFs) are having an increasing role in short range optical communication systems. Home networks present a very interesting application sector due to numerous advantages of POFs over traditional communication mediums.

Genes and translocations involved in POF

American Journal of Medical Genetics, 2002
AbstractChanges at a single autosomal locus and many X‐linked loci have been implicated in women with gonadal dysgenesis [premature ovarian failure (POF) with deficits in ovarian follicles]. For the chromosome 3 locus, a forkhead transcription factor gene (FOXL2) has been identified, in which lesions result in decreased follicles by haploinsufficiency.

The Reliability of POF

2002
Polymer optical fibers, like other technological products, are subjected throughout the whole of their service life to a great many kinds of stress from the environment — mechanical, climatic, chemical, biological, and radiometric. As a result of these stress factors, physical and chemical alterations may arise in the materials used.

Zuverlässigkeit von POF

2001
