Perovskite Li3/8Sr7/16Ta3/4Zr1/4O3 Surface Coating Enables Stable Cycling of Li‐Rich Mn‐Based Cathodes at High Voltage

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, Volume 9, Issue 4, July 2026.
The LSTZ coating significantly enhances the electrochemical performance of Li‐rich Mn‐based cathodes, achieving high ICE (79.5%) and outstanding long‐term cycling stability (178.5 mAh g−1 with 94.4% retention after 120 cycles at 25 °C; 209.7 mAh g−1 with 95.7% retention after 300 cycles at 45 °C).

Immune, molecular and genetic profiles of gastric signet ring cell carcinoma: Recent progress and future challenges

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cancer, Volume 159, Issue 1, Page 11-29, 1 July 2026.
Abstract Gastric signet ring cell carcinoma (GSRCC) is a special type of gastric cancer common in young women. Diffuse gastric cancer (DGC) begins with intramucosal lesions comprising differentiated GSRCC cells. Genetically, GSRCC and DGC are clonally identical, with their morphology influenced by extracellular Wnt signaling.

Selective POF sensors based on surface plasmon resonance exploiting aptamers, MIPs and antibodies as receptors

open access: yes, 2017
A simple approach to low-cost plasmonic sensing has been obtained with a specific multilayer deposited on a D-shaped Plastic Optical Fiber (POF). When receptors are used for Bio/Chemicals detection, this low cost sensing platform can be exploited in ...

New results of mode mixing in PF-GI-POF

open access: yes, 2008
The idea for a new measuring method of mode coupling in small diameter PF-GI-POF was born after a post deadline paper on the OFC’2008. The main concepts are the launch and detection with glass single mode fibers, the lateral movement of the fibers and ...

Enhanced Interdecadal Variability in the WACE and Its Oceanic Drivers

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 53, Issue 11, 16 June 2026.
Abstract As the Earth warms, the “warm Arctic–cold Eurasia” (WACE) has changed noticeably, with enhanced interdecadal variability as the Arctic heats up, particularly over the Barents–Kara Sea region. Before the early 1980s, when Arctic warming was relatively weak, WACE was mainly influenced by Pacific temperature patterns (the Pacific Decadal ...

Sensitivity optimization of POF sensors based on an intensity low-cost configuration targeting chemical and biochemical sensing

open access: yes, 2017
We report the development of RI POF sensors for water quality assessment using simple, fast and low-cost methods. The modification of the surface roughness of the POF's sensing region allowed to increase the sensor's sensitivity.

Maxillofacial Cemento‐Ossifying Fibroma: A Rare Case Report

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 6, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Cemento‐ossifying fibroma is a relatively rare lesion affecting the jaws, especially the anterior mandible. The most common clinical presentation is swelling. Diagnosis based on clinical observation only is challenging. Radiological images and histological findings can be misleading due to similitudes with other osteo‐fibrous lesions.

POF vs Bluetooth

open access: yesIII-Vs Review, 2000
AbstractOne of the cornerstones of today's device business is fibre optics. However, the much-vaunted new application for tomorrow's device business is Bluetooth. At first glance these appear unrelated, but, on closer inspection they could be seen as contenders for the “all-digital-home” which is “just-around-the-corner”.
