Clove Extract (Syzygium aromaticum) in Germination and Sanity of Catingueira Seeds (Poincianella pyramidalis (Tul.) L.P. Queiroz)

Journal of Experimental Agriculture International, 2020
This research aimed to evaluate the effects of Clove extract (Syzygium aromaticum) on germination and sanity of Catingueira seeds (Poincianella pyramidalis). Five treatments with Clove extract of India were applied at the following concentrations T1 (Control) = 40 mL of sterile H2O, T2= 10 mL extract + 30 mL of sterile H2O, T3= 20 mL extract + 20 mL of

Controlling Dactylopius opuntiae with Fusarium incarnatum–equiseti species complex and extracts of Ricinus communis and Poincianella pyramidalis

Journal of Pest Science, 2015
In northeast Brazil, the cactus Opuntia ficus-indica is a key species for feeding livestock. However, productivity has been reduced by the cochineal scale Dactylopius opuntiae. Fusarium incarnatum-equiseti species complex (FIESC) strains obtained from D. opuntiae show potential as biological control agents.

Phenotypic plasticity and ecophysiological strategies in a tropical dry forest chronosequence: A study case with Poincianella pyramidalis

Forest Ecology and Management, 2015
Abstract The plasticity of functional attributes is an important strategy for the acclimation and establishment of plants in areas that undergo natural regeneration. The irregular rainfall of the Brazilian tropical dry forest is an important environmental filter for the determination of the set of species that can successfully establish in different ...

Behavior of the pollen tube of Poincianella pyramidalis (Tul.) L. P. Queiroz after compatible and incompatible crosses

open access: yesAfrican Journal of Agricultural Research Vol Pp, 2016
Aiming to analyze the pollen tube growth behavior in compatible and incompatible crosses in Poincianella pyramidalis, on-field crosses were performed using flowers of 30 randomly selected individuals, which were self- and cross-pollinated. In the cross-pollination, the pollen germinated and the pollen tube grew in the transmitting tissue of the pistil,

Anatomical Comparison of Original and Regrowth wood from coppiced and Pollarded Poincianella Pyramidalis Trees in the Caatinga of Pernambuco, Brazil

IAWA Journal, 2012
Poincianella pyramidalis (Tul.) L.P. Queiroz (‘catingueira’) is one of the most used trees by rural communities for wood and charcoal in the caatinga of northeast Brazil. It grows rapidly and can survive and thrive after either wet or dry season coppicing or pollarding. This paper explores the anatomical basis for P. pyramidalis being a good choice for

Use of litter in co-products of mining and initial growth of catingueira (Poincianella pyramidalis (Tul.) LP Queiroz)

2019
