Point Cloud Denoising via Moving RPCA

open access: yes, 2017
We present an algorithm for the restoration of noisy point cloud data, termed Moving Robust Principal Components Analysis (MRPCA). We model the point cloud as a collection of overlapping two‐dimensional subspaces, and propose a model that encourages ...

Fast Grid-Based Refining Segmentation Method in Video-Based Point Cloud Compression

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2021
The video-based point cloud compression (V-PCC, ISO/IEC 23090-5) is the state-of-the-art international standard for compressing dynamic point clouds developed by the moving picture experts group (MPEG).

Embedded Ferroelectric Nanoclusters Can Drive Polarization Reversal in a Non‐Ferroelectric Polar Film via the Proximity Effect

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Ferroelectric nanoclusters create local internal fields in a normally non‐switchable polar film because of polarization mismatch at their interfaces. That field opposes polarization in the regions with larger polarization and reinforces polarization in the regions with smaller polarization.

Deep Learning-Based Event Data Coding: A Joint Spatiotemporal and Polarity Solution

open access: yesIEEE Open Journal of Signal Processing
Neuromorphic vision sensors, commonly referred to as event cameras, generate a massive number of pixel-level events, composed by spatiotemporal and polarity information, thus demanding highly efficient coding solutions.

Hybrid Compression of LiDAR Point Clouds Using Density-Based Partitioning

open access: yesIEEE Access
LiDAR point clouds exhibit large density variations, and these variations have a direct effect on compression efficiency. Geometry-based codecs such as the MPEG Geometry-based Point Cloud Coding standard (G-PCC) perform well on sparse point clouds, while

Biomimetic Core–Shell Liposome Nanoparticles Deplete Lipoproteins and Enhance the Purity of Extracellular Vesicles from Human Blood

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Lipoprotein‐mimicking nanoparticles (SL‐NPs), comprising Fe3O4@SiO2 cores coated with liposomal bilayers, selectively capture lipoproteins through protein corona formation. The resulting SL‐NP‐lipoprotein complexes can be removed by low‐speed centrifugation, thereby enhancing the purity of small extracellular vesicles (sEVs) isolated from human serum ...
