The electroplating of a CrCoNi medium‐entropy alloy is achieved using a mixture of an ionic liquid and an aqueous solution containing metal salts. The CrCoNi medium‐entropy alloy thin film exhibits high wear and corrosion resistance superior to conventional hard chromium coatings. Abstract High‐entropy alloys (HEAs) and medium‐entropy alloys (MEAs) are

UltraRay: Full-Path Ray Tracing for Enhancing Realism in Ultrasound Simulation [PDF]
Traditional ultrasound simulators solve the wave equation to model pressure distribution fields, achieving high accuracy but requiring significant computational time and resources. To address this, ray tracing approaches have been introduced, modeling wave propagation as rays interacting with boundaries and scatterers. However, existing models simplify

By employing a partial oxidation strategy, nanosized pores are introduced into MXene nanosheets. The resulting holey MXene exhibits faster ionic transport, achieving an aerial capacitance 2.5 times that of unmodified MXene electrodes, and demonstrates excellent cycling stability, retaining 91.7% of its capacitance after 10 000 cycles.

Enhanced Terahertz Spectroscopy of a Monolayer Transition Metal Dichalcogenide
An ad‐hoc engineered metallic surface is employed to perform enhanced terahertz spectroscopy of a monolayer transition metal dichalcogenide (TMD). Thanks to a local absorption boost of 104, this technique allows for the extraction of the phonon resonance features and effective permittivity of the 2D material, paving the way for the rational design of ...

The non‐fullerene acceptor o‐IDT‐BT‐DCV is used in both binary and ternary blends to investigate the role that it plays in each device architecture. The charge generation pathways are found to differ between the binary and ternary blends with o‐IDT‐BT‐DCV becoming a second donor in the ternary blend.
