Analysis Of The Relevance Of Models, Influencing Factors And The Point In Time Of The Forecast On The Prediction Quality In Order-Related Delivery Time Determination Using Machine Learning

open access: yesProceedings of the Conference on Production Systems and Logistics
One of the main objectives of manufacturing companies that structure their manufacturing system according to the workshop principle is to meet the delivery dates communicated to the customer. One approach to avoid large delivery time buffers to stabilize

ApoE gene therapy: an overview and update [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
Atherosclerosis remains the leading cause of death in industrialized societies. Apolipoprotein E (ApoE) is an attractive candidate to treat hypercholesterolemia and coronary heart disease, as it is a circulating protein with pleiotropic ...

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Maternal serum levels of C-reactive protein at early pregnancy to predict fetal growth restriction and preterm delivery: A prospective cohort study

open access: yesInternational Journal of Reproductive BioMedicine, 2020
Background: A considerable evidence suggests that maternal inflammation dysregulation may play as a risk factor for both maternal and neonatal outcomes. Objective: The study's objectives were designed to evaluate the correlation between serum C-reactive ...

Linking neurogenesis, oligodendrogenesis, and myelination defects to neurodevelopmental disruption in primary mitochondrial disorders

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Mitochondrial remodeling shapes neural and glial lineage progression by matching metabolic supply with demand. Elevated OXPHOS supports differentiation and myelin formation, while myelin compaction lowers mitochondrial dependence, revealing mitochondria as key drivers of developmental energy adaptation.

In vitro models of cancer‐associated fibroblast heterogeneity uncover subtype‐specific effects of CRISPR perturbations

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Development of therapies targeting cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) necessitates preclinical model systems that faithfully represent CAF–tumor biology. We established an in vitro coculture system of patient‐derived pancreatic CAFs and tumor cell lines and demonstrated its recapitulation of primary CAF–tumor biology with single‐cell transcriptomics ...
