Nitrogen Dynamics and Environmental Sustainability in Rice–Crab Co-Culture System: Optimal Fertilization for Sustainable Productivity

open access: yesAgriEngineering
Rice–crab co-culture systems (RC) represent promising sustainable intensification approaches, yet their nitrogen (N) cycling and optimal fertilization strategies remain poorly characterized. In this study, we compared RC with rice monoculture system (RM)

Estimating CO2 Emissions from Large Scale Coal-Fired Power Plants Using OCO-2 Observations and Emission Inventories

open access: yesAtmosphere, 2021
The concentration of atmospheric carbon dioxide (CO2) has increased rapidly worldwide, aggravating the global greenhouse effect, and coal-fired power plants are one of the biggest contributors of greenhouse gas emissions in China.

Source-lens clustering and intrinsic-alignment bias of weak-lensing estimators [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
We estimate the amplitude of the source-lens clustering bias and of the intrinsic-alignment bias of weak lensing estimators of the two-point and three-point convergence and cosmic-shear correlation functions.

Pathogenic Germline PALB2 and RAD50 Variants in Patients With Relapsed Ewing Sarcoma

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Approximately 10% of patients with Ewing sarcoma (EwS) have pathogenic germline variants. Here, we report two cases: first, a novel germline pathogenic variant in partner and localizer of BRCA2 (PALB2) in a patient with a late EwS relapse. Its impact on homologous recombination is demonstrated, and breast cancer risk is discussed.

Bioimpedance Calculation Considering Spherical Anomalies

open access: yesJournal of Microwaves, Optoelectronics and Electromagnetic Applications, 2021
This paper presents a solution for sphere-shaped heterogeneities applied to the bioimpedance test. Such an approach has applicability for electrical impedance tomography, considering the impedance response for electrodes at the skin level, a healthy ...

Developmental Disorders in Children Recently Diagnosed With Cancer

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Neurocognitive deficits in adult survivors of childhood cancer are well established, but less is known about developmental disorders (DD) arising shortly after cancer diagnosis. Using 2016–2019 linked Ohio cancer registry and Medicaid data, we compared DD among 324 children with cancer and 606,913 cancer‐free controls.

Exercise Interventions in Children, Adolescents and Young Adults With Paediatric Bone Tumours—A Systematic Review

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Bone tumours present significant challenges for affected patients, as multimodal therapy often leads to prolonged physical limitations. This is particularly critical during childhood and adolescence, as it can negatively impact physiological development and psychosocial resilience.

Spatiotemporal patterns and drivers of net anthropogenic nitrogen input in rapidly urbanizing areas

open access: yesEarth Critical Zone
Reducing anthropogenic nitrogen inputs is critical for preventing nitrogen pollution and achieving sustainable development. However, systematic research on the spatiotemporal evolution, specific sources, and underlying mechanisms of nitrogen input in ...
