A note on the enclosure method for an inverse obstacle scattering problem with a single point source

open access: yes, 2010
This paper gives a note on an application of the enclosure method to an inverse obstacle scattering problem governed by the Helmholtz equation in two dimensions.

点源干扰源定位方法及其在地电场观测中的实际应用

open access: yesDizhen xuebao

Evaluating the Utility of Paired Tumor and Germline Targeted DNA Sequencing for Pediatric Oncology Patients: A Single Institution Report

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To evaluate the diagnostic yield and utility of universal paired tumor–normal multigene panel sequencing in newly diagnosed pediatric solid and central nervous system (CNS) tumor patients and to compare the detection of germline pathogenic/likely pathogenic variants (PV/LPVs) against established clinical referral criteria for cancer ...

Signal from noise retrieval from one and two-point Green's function - comparison

open access: yes, 2015
We compare two methods of eigen-inference from large sets of data, based on the analysis of one-point and two-point Green's functions, respectively. Our analysis points at the superiority of eigen-inference based on one-point Green's function. First, the

Preferences of Pediatric Patients and Their Caregivers for Chemotherapy‐Induced Nausea and Vomiting Control Endpoints: A Mixed Methods Study

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Purpose Although not always achieved, complete chemotherapy‐induced nausea and vomiting (CINV) control is the conventional goal of CINV prophylaxis. In this two‐center, mixed‐methods study, we sought to understand the preferences of adolescent patients and family caregivers for CINV control endpoints.

Pediatric Oncology Nursing Competencies in Latin America and the Caribbean: A Scoping Review to Inform Practice, Education, and Research

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Nurses are central to cancer care for children and adolescents, yet no comprehensive synthesis has defined essential core competencies for pediatric oncology nursing (PON) practice internationally, particularly in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC).

Colour Change Measurements of Gravitational Microlensing Events by Using the Difference Image Analysis Method

open access: yes, 2000
Detecting colour changes of a gravitational microlensing event induced by the limb-darkened extended source effect is important to obtain useful information both about the lens and source star.

Prevalence and Trajectory of Household Material Hardship Among Children With Advanced Cancer

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background/Objectives Families of children with advanced cancer living in poverty experience inferior outcomes including poor parent mental health and worse child quality of life. Household material hardship (HMH: food, housing, transportation, and/or utility insecurity) is a modifiable poverty exposure—and potential intervention target—that ...

The streamline-diffusion method for a convection–diffusion problem with a point source

open access: yesJournal of Computational and Applied Mathematics, 2003
The authors study a singularly perturbed convection-diffusion problem with a point source. This problem is solved by applying the streamline-diffusion finite element method to a class of Shishkin-type meshes. This approach enables the authors to prove pointwise error estimates, as well as the existence of superconvergent points for the first derivative.
