Geometric Characterization of Atmospheric Islands Formed by Two Point Vortices
Generically, in a system with more than three point vortices, there exist regions of stability around each vortex, even if the system is chaotic. These regions are usually called stability islands, and they have a morphology that is hard to characterize.

A hybrid photoprotective material integrates N‐doped TiO2 with a metal‐phenolic network (MPN) to achieve broad‐spectrum attenuation and robust reactive oxygen species (ROS) suppression. Nitrogen doping extends attenuation into the UVA/high energy visible light (HEV) regions and facilitates fast charge recombination to inhibit ROS formation.

Clustering of point vortices in a periodic box [PDF]
AbstractMotions of N point vortices with square periodic boundary conditions are studied numerically, where N is order of 100. The clustering property is examined by computing the L function familiar in the field of spatial ecology. The case of a positive value of L corresponds to the state of clustering and the Onsager's negative temperature.
