Optimizing Intermediate Adsorption on FeNi3 Alloy by Substrate Defect‐Engineering for Enhanced Oxygen Electrocatalysis

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
The presence of carbon edge defects and graphitic valley nitrogen significantly alters the energy band structure of the catalyst, enhancing the desorption of oxygen‐containing intermediates and thereby improving the performance of the oxygen reduction reaction (ORR), oxygen evolution reaction (OER), and zinc‐air battery (ZAB).

Manipulating the d‐Band Center of Ir by Metal‐Support Interaction to Optimize the Adsorption for Self‐Powered Hydrazine Oxidation‐Assisted Hydrogen Generation

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
The d‐band center of Ir in Ir@BNC is synergistically regulated by B and N elements with large electronegativity differences and thus Ir@BNC exhibits eminent performances for both HER and HzOR, requiring −25 and 18 mV to reach 10 mA cm−2 in alkaline conditions. The OHzS device can be powered by DHHPFC and realize hydrogen production at a stable rate (53.
