Unraveling Ni Particle Size Effects in Ethanol Steam Reforming Over Ni/CeO2 Catalysts

open access: yesCarbon and Hydrogen, EarlyView.
Ethanol steam reforming over Ni/CeO2 exhibits strong Ni particle size sensitivity. An optimal ∼5 nm size balances activity, H2 selectivity, and stability by suppressing acetone/methane/coke. Kinetic‐spectroscopic analysis confirms ethanol dehydrogenation as the rate‐determining step, with C–C cleavage governing H2 selectivity.

Research Progress and Prospects of ZrO2‐Based Catalysts in CO2 Hydrogenation

open access: yesCarbon and Hydrogen, EarlyView.
Herein, we review the multifunctional role of ZrO2‐based catalysts in CO2 hydrogenation to value‐added products, including facilitating H2 dissociation, adsorbed intermediate stabilization, and highly selective C–C coupling while suppressing over‐hydrogenation, which highlights ZrO2 as an active, tunable platform beyond a mere support for efficient ...
