Pregabalin dependence, withdrawal, suicidality and psychosis reports: A disproportionality analysis of the Australian adverse events database

Aims Globally, Australia has the highest per capita consumption rate of pregabalin, commonly prescribed for neuropathic pain. Emerging evidence suggests pregabalin may be associated with the onset or recurrence of several potentially life‐threatening psychiatric events in some individuals.

Short communication: Dynamic chemical labelling allows the measurement of the paracetamol toxicity biomarker microRNA‐122 in hospital clinical laboratories

MicroRNA‐122 (miR‐122) is a sensitive biomarker for paracetamol‐induced liver injury. This study assessed the diagnostic performance of dynamic chemical labelling (DCL) combined with an immunoassay platform to quantify miR‐122 in human serum, as a proof‐of‐concept for hospital use.

Unraveling Ni Particle Size Effects in Ethanol Steam Reforming Over Ni/CeO2 Catalysts

Ethanol steam reforming over Ni/CeO2 exhibits strong Ni particle size sensitivity. An optimal ∼5 nm size balances activity, H2 selectivity, and stability by suppressing acetone/methane/coke. Kinetic‐spectroscopic analysis confirms ethanol dehydrogenation as the rate‐determining step, with C–C cleavage governing H2 selectivity.
