Enhanced Photocatalytic Activity of NH3‐SCR on Sulfur‐Doped TiO2 (101) Surface

open access: yesChemCatChem, EarlyView.
S‐doped TiO2 (101) shows enhanced activity in the selective catalytic reduction of NO with NH3 (NH3‐SCR) compared to pristine TiO2. Density functional theory (DFT) calculations reveal that sulfur‐doping modifies the electronic structure and lowers the energy barrier for each step. Abstract Photo‐assisted NH3 selective catalytic reduction (photo‐NH3‐SCR)

Valorization of Glycerol Through 2,2,6,6‐Tetramethyl‐1‐Piperidine‐N‐Oxyl (TEMPO)‐Catalyzed Electrochemical Oxidation with High C3 Product Selectivity: Impact of Stirred Bulk Versus Flow Electrolysis

open access: yesChemElectroChem, EarlyView.
2,2,6,6‐tetramethyl‐1‐piperidine‐N‐oxyl‐catalyzed glycerol electrochemical oxidation proceeds with different selectivity when comparing bulk stirred and flow electrolysis. Conversion of glycerol to value‐added products is an attractive solution to the oversupply of this byproduct of biofuel production.
