Poisoning Attacks on LLMs Require a Near-constant Number of Poison Samples
arXiv.orgPoisoning attacks can compromise the safety of large language models (LLMs) by injecting malicious documents into their training data. Existing work has studied pretraining poisoning assuming adversaries control a percentage of the training corpus ...

A Robust Privacy-Preserving Federated Learning Model Against Model Poisoning Attacks
IEEE Transactions on Information Forensics and SecurityAlthough federated learning offers a level of privacy by aggregating user data without direct access, it remains inherently vulnerable to various attacks, including poisoning attacks where malicious actors submit gradients that reduce model accuracy.

Poison Ivy, Poison Oak, and Poison Sumac
AJN, American Journal of Nursing, 1954D ERMATITIS, caused by contact with approximately 460 plants and woods, has been reported in the medical literature. Of these plants, poison ivy, oak, and sumac are the most frequent offenders. Patients who have a dermatitis on exposed surfaces of the skin following possible exposure to shrubs or woods usually allude to one of these three plants as the

In summary, environmental emergencies account for a major portion of mortality and morbidity in children. Many of these injuries are preventable and hence programmes aimed at public education and preventative measures should yield gratifying results. When these measures have failed, prompt assessment and resuscitation offers the child the best chance ...

Insight into Si poisoning on grain refinement of Al-Si/Al-5Ti-B system
, 2020Si poisoning on Al-5Ti-B master alloys has been restraining the effectiveness of grain refinement of hypoeutectic Al-Si casting alloys for over 60 years, and yet the underlying mechanism of this phenomenon remains unclear.

Self-Poisoning and Accidental Poisoning
Postgraduate Medicine, 1967A series of 468 cases of self-poisoning in teen-agers and adults and a series of 1,645 cases of poisoning in children are reviewed. Special attention is given to detection and therapy of salicylate poisoning, to the serious problem of lead poisoning in slum areas, and to the use of the chelating agent desferrioxamine in treatment of iron poisoning.

Poisoning an already poisoned well
AI & SOCIETY
In the battle to protect the creations of human minds from A.I. and large language models (LLMs) that threaten to suck those creations in like a whirlpool, and deliver them bottled up as “original” content to the masses—unattributed and unpaid—we must be careful to not poison the well of real and factual content.

Nearly 5,000 Americans will die this year because of accidental encounters with toxic chemicals(l). Equally startling is the estimate that for every death due to poisoning in the United States, there will be over 200 nonfatal poisoning episodes(2). Two out of every three poisoning cases involve children under the age of five years. In fact, Dr.
