Anti‐Aggregation and Surface Rearrangement Strategy for High‐Performance Pt‐Lean Alloy Catalysts in the Hydrogen Oxidation Reaction

open access: yesAggregate, EarlyView.
A Pt‐lean alloy catalyst encapsulated within an ultrathin carbon shell is developed via an anti‐aggregation and surface rearrangement strategy. CO‐induced Pt segregation enriches surface Pt, boosting hydrogen oxidation reaction activity, while the carbon shell provides nano‐confinement to suppress particle aggregation.

Enhanced Selectivity of Chalcogen Bonding over Halogen Bonding Catalyzed C‐glycosylation Through Differentiated Intermediate Activation

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
By harnessing chalcogen bonding (ChB) catalysis, an exclusive access into a highly stereoselective strain‐release C‐glycosylation pathway was discovered. This was surprisingly not replicable by the conceptually similar halogen bonding (XB) catalysis.

Exploring the link between the risk of violent injury in adolescents and historic redlining practices

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Community Psychology, EarlyView.
Abstract Violent injuries tend to cluster together geospatially. The discriminatory housing practice of redlining undertaken by the United States federal government in the 1930s has been repeatedly linked with various contemporary community‐level disparities.

From Heat to Electrons: Bridging Heterogeneous Liquid‐Phase Thermal and Electrocatalytic Oxidation of Ethylene Glycol over Co3O4

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
The aerobic liquid‐phase thermal oxidation of ethylene glycol and its electrocatalytic oxidation resulted in the same product distribution using mesostructured Co3O4. Ab initio molecular dynamics simulations reveal analogous surface intermediates requiring Co3+ centers and OH− species with O2 or the anodic potential regenerating the reduced active ...

Vitamin D‐induced mechanisms in cancer prevention and therapy: Recent advances and future opportunities

open access: yesAnimal Models and Experimental Medicine, EarlyView.
Vitamin D, traditionally known to promote calcium and bone health, is being explored for its role in cancer prevention and treatment through its influence on cell proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis, and immune response. The vitamin D receptor (VDR) regulates gene expression and interacts with key signaling pathways such as Wnt/β‐catenin, MAPK ...
