Comment (sa)voir ? Diana of the Crossways de George Meredith : la transparence paradoxale
This article aims at exploring the paradoxical uses of transparency in Diana of the Crossways. In spite of claiming a diaphanous mode of existence, Diana displays evident signs of elusiveness, while the narrative, though seemingly transparent, proves ...

The ultrahard teeth of mollusks that feed on rocky substrates contain a wear‐resistant coating on their surfaces consisting of densely packed mesocrystalline magnetic nanoparticles within an organic matrix. These coatings display significant hardness and toughness through their highly controlled mesocrystalline architectures.

Cave (L’entraîneuse). Un essai de Nguyễn Việt Hà traduit par Emmanuel Poisson
For a couple of years now and thanks to its positioning between fiction and journalism, the Vietnamese tạp văn (essay), of which Cave (The bargirl) is an example, has allowed Nguyễn Việt Hà to describe lively and sometimes paradoxical fragments of social

Geometry‐Dependent Adhesion in Transparent Monodomain Liquid Crystal Elastomers
Liquid Crystal Elastomers (LCEs) are emerging as exciting pressure‐sensitive adhesives. We examine adhesion in chemically identical elastomer films, exploring the influence of geometry (director orientation) and phase (nematic or isotropic). We demonstrate the potential of these aligned films as transparent, tunable, broad‐temperature‐range smart ...

We introduce a variant of the Erdős–Rényi random graph where the number of vertices is random and follows a Poisson law. A very simple Markov property of the model entails that the Lukasiewicz exploration is made of independent Poisson increments. Using a vanilla Poisson counting process, this enables us to give very short proofs of classical results ...

A dual‐percolative planar‐heterojunction photoactive architecture enables intrinsically stretchable organic photovoltaics that combine high photovoltaic efficiency with enhanced mechanical robustness. Abstract Intrinsically stretchable organic solar cells (IS‐OSCs) are promising candidates for wearable power sources due to their ability to deform in ...
