Normalization of a Poisson algebra is Poisson [PDF]
We prove that the integral closure of a Poisson algebra $A$ over a field of characteristic 0 is again a Poisson algebra.

Elinvar Materials: Recent Progress and Challenges
Elinvar materials, exhibiting temperature‐invariant elastic modulus, are critical for precision instruments and emerging technologies. This article reviews recent progress in the field, with a focus on the anomalous thermoelastic behavior observed in key material systems.

It is shown that laser ablation pretreatment under oxygen‐free conditions enables copper–aluminium bonding at significantly lower deformation degrees and improved properties compared to mechanical brushing. Laser ablation further increases interface contact area and induces favourable residual stress states and microstructural compatibility ...

Poisson brackets and Poisson spectra in polynomial algebras
Poisson brackets on the polynomial algebra C[x,y,z] are studied. A description of all such brackets is given and, for a significant class of Poisson brackets, the Poisson prime ideals and Poisson primitive ideals are determined.

Carbon nanomaterial‐reinforced epoxy composites exhibit pronounced piezoresistive behavior, enabling intrinsic damage sensing under cyclic and fatigue loading. This review critically compares carbon nanotube and graphene systems, correlating filler content, percolation threshold, and gauge factor with sensing stability and damage evolution.

Gravitational radiation reaction and second order perturbation theory
A point particle of small mass m moves in free fall through a background vacuum spacetime metric g_ab and creates a first-order metric perturbation h^1ret_ab that diverges at the particle.

Conformal Anomaly in Yang-Mills Theory and Thermodynamics of Open Confining Strings
We discuss thermodynamic properties of open confining strings introduced via static sources in the vacuum of Yang-Mills theory. We derive new sum rules for the chromoelectric and chromomagnetic condensates and use them to show that the presence of the ...

Some exact asymptotics in the counting of walks in the quarter plane [PDF]
Enumeration of planar lattice walks is a classical topic in combinatorics, at the cross-roads of several domains (e.g., probability, statistical physics, computer science).

Nanoindentation Criteria for Combinatorial Thin Film Libraries
Thin‐film material libraries are compositional spreads used for screening composition‐structure‐property relationships. Nanoindentation is often used to characterize mechanical behavior across these systems, however variations in methodology are widespread.

Holomorphic Poisson Manifolds and Holomorphic Lie Algebroids
We study holomorphic Poisson manifolds and holomorphic Lie algebroids from the viewpoint of real Poisson geometry. We give a characterization of holomorphic Poisson structures in terms of the Poisson Nijenhuis structures of Magri-Morosi and describe a ...
