Continuum Mechanics Modeling of Flexible Spring Joints in Surgical Robots

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
A new mechanical model of a tendon‐actuated helical extension spring joint in surgical robots is built using Cosserat rod theory. The model can implicitly handle the unknown contacts between adjacent coils and numerically predict spring shapes from straight to significantly bent under actuation forces.

Asymptotic symmetries of three dimensional gravity and the membrane paradigm

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2019
The asymptotic symmetry group of three-dimensional (anti) de Sitter space with Brown-Henneaux boundary conditions is the two dimensional conformal group with central charge c = 3ℓ/2G.

Representation of SU(infinity) Algebra for Matrix Models

open access: yes, 2002
We investigate how the matrix representation of SU(N) algebra approaches that of the Poisson algebra in the large N limit. In the adjoint representation, the (N^2-1) times (N^2-1) matrices of the SU(N) generators go to those of the Poisson algebra in the

Graded Poisson Algebras [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
This note is an expanded and updated version of our entry with the same title for the 2006 Encyclopedia of Mathematical Physics. We give a brief overview of graded Poisson algebras, their main properties and their main applications, in the contexts of super differentiable and of derived algebraic geometry.

Modeling and Verification of 1/f Noise Mechanisms in FAPbBr3 Single‐Crystal X‐Ray Detectors

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
We demonstratethat surface‐trap‐induced carrier number fluctuations are the dominantmechanism in FAPbBr3 Schottky devices, a conclusion supported by thedistinct defect profiles revealed by Drive‐Level Capacitance Profiling (DLCP). Throughnoise contribution decomposition, it is found that the 1/f noise of thedetector is the key noise source affecting ...

Shifted derived Poisson manifolds associated with Lie pairs

open access: yes, 2018
We study the shifted analogue of the "Lie--Poisson" construction for $L_\infty$ algebroids and we prove that any $L_\infty$ algebroid naturally gives rise to shifted derived Poisson manifolds.

Universal Entanglement and an Information‐Complete Quantum Theory

open access: yesAdvanced Physics Research, EarlyView.
This Perspective summarize an informationcomplete quantum theory which describes a fully quantum world without any classical systems and concepts. Here spacetime/gravity, having to be a physical quantum system, universally entangles matter (matter fermions and their gauge fields) as an indivisible trinity, and encodes information‐complete physical ...

Geodesic motion on the symplectic leaf of $$SO(3)$$ S O ( 3 ) with distorted e(3) algebra and Liouville integrability of a free rigid body

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2023
The solutions to the Euler–Poisson equations are geodesic lines of SO(3) manifold with the metric determined by inertia tensor. However, the Poisson structure on the corresponding symplectic leaf does not depend on the inertia tensor.

Poisson Algebra of Wilson Loops in Four-Dimensional Yang-Mills Theory

open access: yes, 1994
We formulate the canonical structure of Yang--Mills theory in terms of Poisson brackets of gauge invariant observables analogous to Wilson loops. This algebra is non--trivial and tractable in a light--cone formulation.

Eco‐Innovation, Economic Complexity, and Sustainability: A Bibliometric and Systematic Literature Review

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study systematizes the literature on eco‐innovation and economic complexity, aiming to understand how the sophistication of productive structures shapes countries' capacity to develop environmentally responsible innovations, and how eco‐innovation may, in turn, influence productive sophistication.
