Study on fracture parameter calibration and failure characteristics of rock with hole and crack
The SIF and plastic zone equations for a single hole and crack have been derived. The model's failure state leads to the identification of four types of cracks. The plastic zone increases with increased brittleness and decreased crack length. Abstract Cracks within the surrounding rock of roadways significantly affect their stability and failure ...

Review and prospects of shear test of bolted rock joints
The laboratory shear test equipment, test method, and numerical simulation of bolted rock joints were summarized. The shortcomings and limitations of the current research were analyzed, and the research prospects were proposed. Abstract Rock bolting is a critical approach in geotechnical engineering for supporting weak rocks.

Maps on the Mirror Heisenberg–Virasoro Algebra
Using the first cohomology from the mirror Heisenberg–Virasoro algebra to the twisted Heisenberg algebra (as the mirror Heisenberg–Virasoro algebra module), in this paper, we determined the derivations on the mirror Heisenberg–Virasoro algebra.

BRST Charge and Poisson Algebras [PDF]
An elementary introduction to the classical version of gauge theories is made. The shortcomings of the usual gauge fixing process are pointed out. They justify the need to replace it by a global symmetry: the BRST symmetry and its associated BRST charge. The main mathematical steps required to construct it are described.

There are two kinds of splittings of operations, namely, the classical splitting which is interpreted operadically as taking successors and another splitting which we call the second splitting giving the anti-structures of the successors' algebras. The algebraic structures corresponding to them respectively are characterized in terms of representations.

Coherent Forecasting of Realized Volatility
ABSTRACT The QLIKE loss function is the stylized favorite of the literature on volatility forecasting when it comes to out‐of‐sample evaluation and the state of the art model for realized volatility (RV) forecasting is the HAR model, which minimizes the squared error loss for in‐sample estimation of the parameters.

Holonomic modules and 1-generation in the Jacobian Conjecture
Let $P_n$ be a polynomial algebra in $n$ indeterminates over a field $K$ of characteristic zero. An endomorphism $\sigma \in \mathrm{End}_K(P_n)$ is called a Jacobian map if its Jacobian is a nonzero scalar.

On the Contact Geometry and the Poisson Geometry of the Ideal Gas
We elaborate on existing notions of contact geometry and Poisson geometry as applied to the classical ideal gas. Specifically, we observe that it is possible to describe its dynamics using a 3-dimensional contact submanifold of the standard 5-dimensional

ABSTRACT Porous gas bearings (PGBs) enable high‐speed, oil‐free operation in modern rotating machinery. This study develops a coupled thermo‐hydrodynamic (THD) model for a cylindrical porous gas bearing lubricated with four working fluids—air, R‐134a, helium and hydrogen.

ABSTRACT The well‐posedness results for mild solutions to the fractional neutral stochastic differential system with Rosenblatt process with Hurst index Ĥ∈12,1$$ \hat{H}\in \left(\frac{1}{2},1\right) $$ is discussed in this article. To demonstrate the results, the concept of bounded integral contractors is combined with the stochastic result and ...
