Eccentric Poisson-Boltzmann cell model
Physical Review E, 2000We solve the nonlinear Poisson-Boltzmann equation around a charged colloidal sphere in an electrolyte that is confined in a cell. The colloid has an eccentric position inside the confining sphere. This models the situation in a highly concentrated charge-stabilized colloidal suspension, where a single colloid simultaneously interacts with the whole ...

The Poisson-Helmholtz-Boltzmann model
The European Physical Journal E, 2011We present a mean-field model of a one-component electrolyte solution where the mobile ions interact not only via Coulomb interactions but also through a repulsive non-electrostatic Yukawa potential. Our choice of the Yukawa potential represents a simple model for solvent-mediated interactions between ions.

Poisson wavelets applied to model identification
Journal of Process Control, 1994Abstract A novel wavelet transform is introduced based on the backward difference of the Poisson probability density function. This family of wavelets is a function of one discrete and two continuous variables. The Poisson wavelet transform is useful for system identification, parameter estimation and model validation.

Grouped Network Poisson Autoregressive Model
Statistica SinicaSummary: Although multivariate Poisson autoregressive models are popular for fitting count time series data, statistical inferences are quite challenging. The network Poisson autoregressive (NPAR) model reduces the inference complexity by incorporating network information into the dependence structure, where the response of each individual can be ...

Specification Test for Poisson Regression Models
International Economic Review, 1986The specification of the Poisson model is tested against some general models for the analysis of counted data. The test of Poisson models is considered against negative binomial distribution, general family of discrete distributions based on Pearson's difference equation and series expansion of distributions.

Compound Poisson Regression Models
1982Count data are easily modelled in GLIM using the Poisson distribution. However, in modelling such data the counts are often aggregated over one or more factors, or important explanatory variables are unavailable and as a result the fit obtained is often poor.

This chapter covers space—time Poisson models for queueing networks, spatial service or storage systems, and particle systems. Such a model describes the collective movement of units or customers in space and time, where the units enter the system according to a Poisson space—time process and then move about independently of each other.
