Poisson Denoising Variational Model Based on Prior-Driven Deep Neural Network [PDF]
The denoising of Poisson noise images is a typical ill-conditioned inverse problem. Its variational model requires repeated iterations and parameter adjustments, which is less computationally efficient.

Evaluating Energy Absorption Performance of Filled Lattice Structures
Maximum stress must be considered to robustly evaluate energy absorber designs. This approach was applied to compare all types of absorbers in a single Ashby diagram and determine the utility of filling lattice voids with a second material. High‐performance fillers can improve the performance of lattices that are limited by buckling or catastrophic ...

D-optimal designs for Poisson regression models [PDF]
We consider the problem of finding an optimal design under a Poisson regression model with a log link, any number of independent variables and an additive linear predictor.

Use of the generalized linear models in data related to dental caries index
The aim of this study is to encourage and initiate the application of generalized linear models (GLMs) in the analysis of the covariates of decayed, missing, and filled teeth (DMFT) index data, which is not necessarily normally distributed.

Poisson distribution is one of discrete distribution that is often used in modeling of rare events. The data obtained in form of counts with non-negative integers. One of analysis that is used in modeling count data is Poisson regression.

Phase Field Failure Modeling: Brittle‐Ductile Dual‐Phase Microstructures under Compressive Loading
The approach by Amor and the approach by Miehe and Zhang for asymmetric damage behavior in the phase field method for fracture are compared regarding their fitness for microcrack‐based failure modeling. The comparison is performed for the case of a dual‐phase microstructure with a brittle and a ductile constituent.

Lattice permutations and Poisson-Dirichlet distribution of cycle lengths [PDF]
We study random spatial permutations on ℤ3 where each jump x↦π(x) is penalized by a factor e−T∥x−π(x)∥2 . The system is known to exhibit a phase transition for low enough T where macroscopic cycles appear.

Counting unreported abortions: A binomial-thinned zero-inflated Poisson model
Background: Self-reported counts of intentional abortions in demographic surveys are significantly lower than the actual counts. To estimate the extent of misreporting, previous research has required either a gold standard or a validation sample. However,
