Abstract Objective To describe early second‐trimester placenta accreta spectrum (PAS) management and outcomes. Methods This cross‐sectional study queried the US Healthcare Cost and Utilization Project's National Inpatient Sample from 2016 to 2021, finding 905 cases with a diagnosis of PAS between 14 and 22 weeks of gestation and in‐hospital management.

Soft Power in Trade: Quantifying the Impact of Confucius Institutes on China's Exports

ABSTRACT This paper investigates the role of Confucius Institutes (CIs) as a form of China's cultural diplomacy and their impact on international trade, particularly exports. Using a gravity model, we analyze data from 1990 to 2019 across countries, finding that the presence of CIs significantly boosts China's exports.

The corporatization of veterinary medicine and its impact on independent practices

Abstract This paper examines the corporatization of veterinary medicine and its impact on independent veterinary practices in the United States using a longitudinal data set from 2000 to 2021. Results show independent practices are 1.9% more likely to exit after corporate entry, with employment and revenue dropping 5.7% and 6.9%, respectively.

Female Starlings With Experimentally Impaired Pre‐Laying Condition Produce Smaller But Vitamin A Richer Eggs

We experimentally impaired the pre‐laying condition of female starlings by clipping two flight feathers per wing at the beginning of the breeding season, before egg laying. Impaired females laid the same number of eggs as control females, but smaller, and with higher levels of yolk vitamin A.
