Synchronous Telemedicine Versus In-Person Care in Hepatitis C Treatment: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis. [PDF]

open access: yesJ Viral Hepat
ABSTRACT Inequitable access to HCV treatment persists, particularly for rural and marginalised populations. Synchronous telemedicine (TM) could mitigate access barriers, but its comparative effectiveness versus in‐person care is uncertain. open access: yesClinical Obesity, Volume 13, Issue 2, April 2023., 2023
Summary Obesity is recognized as a risk factor for adverse outcome in COVID‐19, but the molecular mechanisms underlying this relationship remain unknown. Adipose tissue functions as an endocrine organ by secreting multiple pro‐inflammatory and anti‐inflammatory factors, known as adipocytokines, which could be involved in COVID‐19 severity.
