Extended‐Range Thermometry via Dual Er Fluorescence of Oxyfluoride Glass‐Ceramic Optical Fibers

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
A dual‐channel Yb3+‐Er3+‐based optical fiber thermometer combines visible upconversion and infrared photoluminescence for wide‐range temperature sensing. Yb3+/Er3+‐doped LaF3 or NaLuF4 nanocrystals embedded in transparent glass‐ceramic optical fibers enable reliable operation from room temperature up to 800 K, offering enhanced sensitivity and spectral

Anion Effect on the Thermometric Properties of Near‐Infrared Emitting Mn5+‐Activated Sr5(PO4)3X (X = F, Cl, Br) Apatite Phosphors

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Mn5+‐activated Sr5(PO4)3X (X = F, Cl, Br) apatite phosphors exhibit tunable near‐infrared thermometric behavior across cryogenic to high temperatures. The correlation between local [PO4]3– geometry and optical properties enables the prediction of suitable hosts directly from structural information.

Boosting the Performance of Epitaxial Perovskite Microstructures by Surface Passivation

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Surface passivation is applied to epitaxial perovskite structures. Improvements are obtained in respect to luminescence intensity and decay time, as well in respect to photodetection and lasing. Highlight results include photoluminescence transients that are limited only by carrier diffusion and a record low laser threshold for microcrystal‐based ...

Structural Characterization and AI‐Enhanced Modeling of a Broadly Neutralizing Camelid Antibody Against SARS‐CoV‐2 Variants

open access: yesAdvanced Therapeutics, EarlyView.
This study characterizes a camelid antibody (B10) with potent neutralizing activity against SARS‐CoV‐2 Wildtype and Omicron variants. Through binding assays, epitope mapping, pseudovirus neutralization, and AI‐driven modeling, the antibody is shown to target conserved RBD regions in a closed Spike conformation.
