Circularly Polarized Luminescence in Nanoassemblies: Generation, Amplification, and Application

Advanced Materials, 2019
AbstractCurrently, the development of circularly polarized luminescent (CPL) materials has drawn extensive attention due to the numerous potential applications in optical data storage, displays, backlights in 3D displays, and so on. While the fabrication of CPL‐active materials generally requires chiral luminescent molecules, the introduction of the ...

Ultrasensitive Fluorescence Polarization Aptasensors Based on Exonuclease Signal Amplification and Polystyrene Nanoparticle Amplification

Chemistry – An Asian Journal, 2014
AbstractHere, we combine T7 exonuclease (T7 Exo) signal amplification and polystyrene nanoparticle (PS NP) amplification to develop novel fluorescence polarization (FP) aptasensors. The binding of a target/open aptamer hairpin complex or a target/single‐stranded aptamer complex to dye‐labeled DNA bound to PS NPs, or the self‐assembly of two aptamer ...

Amplification of a polarized single-photon state and determination of resulting polarization correlations

Journal of the Optical Society of America B, 1985
The photon statistics of a single spatial mode of the optical field (including the two polarization states) resulting from a single-photon state undergoing unsaturated amplification by a two-level medium are derived. Results are compared with those for an idealized noiseless linear amplifier and a conventional quantum-noise-limited amplifier in the ...

Amplification of LO phonons in photoexcited polar semiconductors

Solid State Communications, 1990
Abstract We consider the photoproduction of optical phonons in n-doped polar semiconductors. It is shown that they are produced in measurable excess of equilibrium only in a small off-centre and restricted region of reciprocal space, corresponding to small values of wavenumber.

Analysis of polarization mode dispersion in Raman amplification

Frontiers in Optics, 2003
The analysis of the effect of polarization mode dispersion (PMD) on Raman amplification has been investigated. It is found that the Raman amplification is affected by the fiber length and core ellipticity. High PMD values are obtained for increased fiber length and change in core ellipticity.
