Pyrad: A Real-Time Weather Radar Data Processing Framework Based on Py-ART
Pyrad is a real-time data processing framework developed by MeteoSwiss. The framework is aimed at reading, processing and visualizing polar data from individual weather radars as well as composite Cartesian products both off-line and in real time.

Polar Codes: Analysis and Construction Based on Polar Spectrum
Polar codes are the first class of constructive channel codes achieving the symmetric capacity of the binary-input discrete memoryless channels. But the analysis and construction of polar codes involve the complex iterative-calculation. In this paper, by revisiting the error event of the polarized channel, a new concept, named polar spectrum, is ...

Predicting extreme defects in additive manufacturing remains a key challenge limiting its structural reliability. This study proposes a statistical framework that integrates Extreme Value Theory with advanced process indicators to explore defect–process relationships and improve the estimation of critical defect sizes. The approach provides a basis for

Freeze‐drying of layered silicate is the key to get coatings with superior gas barrier. Freeze‐drying of layered silicates modified with dodecylamine (DDA) is a highly effective technique for the preparation of barrier pigments that significantly mitigate the permeation of oxygen, water vapor, and hydrogen through polymer films containing these ...

A Flip-Syndrome-List Polar Decoder Architecture for Ultra-Low-Latency Communications
We consider practical hardware implementation of polar decoders. To reduce latency due to the serial nature of successive cancellation, existing optimizations improve parallelism with two approaches, i.e., multi-bit decision or reduced path splitting. In

Practical polar code construction over parallel channels
Channel polarisation results are extended to the case of communications over parallel channels, where the channel state information is known to both the encoder and decoder. Given a set of parallel binary‐input discrete memoryless channels (B‐DMCs), by performing the channel polarising transformation over independent copies of these component channels,

Rheocasting versus Die Casting: An Insight into the Low‐Cycle Fatigue Behavior of AlSi7Mg0.6
The study compares rheocast lightweight components with high‐pressure die cast materials regarding microstructure and fatigue behavior. Rheocast process offers higher efficiency due to lower casting temperatures. Despite some microstructural differences, both processes show similar strengths (yield strength 125 MPa, tensile strength 240 MPa).
