Revisiting Securidaca longipedunculata Seed Oil: Applying NMR and Mass Spectroscopy to Confirm the Presence of 2‐Acetyl‐1,3‐Diacyl–sn‐Glycerols and Conjugated Hydroxydienoic Fatty Acids

open access: yesJournal of the American Oil Chemists' Society, EarlyView.
The manuscript confirms and expands on previous reports concerning the presence of unusual conjugated hydroxydienoic fatty acids and acetyl‐TAG in the seed oil of Securidaca longipedunculata. The location of acetate only at sn‐2 of TAG was conclusively shown by high resolution NMR and hydroxy seed fatty acids are characterized.

Impact of three-dimensional polarization profiles on spin-dependent measurements in colliding beam experiments

open access: yesPhysical Review Special Topics. Accelerators and Beams, 2012
We derive the effect of 3-dimensional polarization profiles on the measured polarization in polarimeters, as well as the observed polarization and the polarization-weighted luminosity (figure of merit) in single and double spin measurements in colliding ...

Metal‐Ion Regulated Light‐Free Z→E Isomerization of Azobenzene Glycomacrocycle

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Metal ion‐catalyzed Z→E isomerization of photoswitchable azobenzene glycomacrocycle: A new azobenzene‐based glycomacrocycle is capable of forming a 1:1 complex with divalent metal ions in both E‐ and Z‐isomers. The complexes undergo light‐free Z→E isomerization in a timescale spanning from seconds to weeks.

Chiral HPLC Separation of Phosphonothrixin and Phosphonate Derivatives and Electronic Circular Dichroism Characterization of the Isolated Enantiomers

open access: yesELECTROPHORESIS, EarlyView.
Natural compound phosphonothrixin's herbicidal activity resides exclusively in its (S)‐enantiomer, yet existing enantioselective syntheses are cumbersome, and direct chiral LC separation is hampered by the compound's high polarity, lack of aromatic groups, and metal chelation–induced peak tailing.

LEP and CEBAF Polarimeters [PDF]

open access: yes, 1988
This paper gives an overview on high energy electron (positron) polarimeters by describing in more detail the plans for the LEP polarimeter and the CEBAF polarimeters. Both LEP and CEBAF will have laser polarimeters.

Misalignment error analysis in polychromatic division of focal plane Stokes polarimeters [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Snapshot imaging polarimeters are used in many different areas. Recently, division of focal plane (DoFP) polarimeters have proved useful as snapshot polarimeters for dynamic applications.

Improved Absolute Polarization Calibrator for BICEP CMB Polarimeters [PDF]

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences
Cosmic birefringence is a hypothesized parity violation in electromagnetism that predicts a frequency-independent polarization rotation as light propagates.
