A single-channel polarimeter [PDF]
We have developed a single-channel photopolarimeter to measure polarization ∼1%, with an accuracy of 0.1% or so. Laboratory tests show that the performance of the instrument is as per the requirements.

A Transmissive X-ray Polarimeter Design For Hard X-ray Focusing Telescopes
The X-ray Timing and Polarization (XTP) is a mission concept for a future space borne X-ray observatory and is currently selected for early phase study. We present a new design of X-ray polarimeter based on the time projection gas chamber.

POET: POlarimeters for Energetic Transients [PDF]
POET (Polarimeters for Energetic Transients) is a Small Explorer mission concept proposed to NASA in January 2008. The principal scientific goal of POET is to measure GRB polarization between 2 and 500 keV.

Photonic neural networks are emerging as a powerful tool for analyzing light. The article reports a photonic deep random neural network that performs single‐shot low‐latency measurements of the state and degree of polarization with high accuracy. Using only a stack of glass diffusers on top of a small camera sensor, this neuromorphic polarization ...

Signatures of photon and axion-like particle mixing in the gamma-ray burst jet [PDF]
Photons couple to Axion-Like Particles (ALPs) or more generally to any pseudo Nambu-Goldstone boson in the presence of an external electromagnetic field.

Anisotropy Analysis of Bamboo and Tooth Using 4‐Angle Polarization Micro‐Spectroscopy
Super‐resolution via orientation: spatial distribution of specific molecular vibrations are revealed at 1/20 of the diffraction limit. ABSTRACT To investigate the anisotropic properties of biomaterials, two distinct classes are considered as follows: polymer‐based (cellulose in plants) and crystalline‐based (enamel in teeth), each demonstrating ...

METHODS OF PRODUCING MULTIFREQUENCY GENERATION IN THE LASER TERAHERTZ RESONATOR [PDF]
Terahertz lasers are used as sources of radiation in different heterodyne radio physical devices. Stable frequency difference between the heterodyne and signal channels is required when using these devices.

Abstract We present a method for retrieving cloud optical depth that applies 3D radiative transfer to utilize the combination of polarimetry and multi‐spectral imagery that is newly available from satellite missions such as the Plankton, Aerosol, Cloud, Ocean, Ecosystem (PACE) Mission. Due to the approximate spectral invariance of scattering by clouds,
