UAVSAR Polarimetric Calibration
IEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing, 2015Uninhabited aerial vehicle synthetic aperture radar (UAVSAR) is a reconfigurable polarimetric L-band SAR that operates in quad-polarization mode and is specifically designed to acquire airborne repeat-track SAR data for interferometric measurements. In this paper, we present details of the UAVSAR radar performance, the radiometric calibration, and the ...

Fast and accurate polarimetric calibration of infrared imaging polarimetric sensors
Applied Optics, 2021Polarimetric imaging cameras require polarimetric calibration to accurately estimate the incident Stokes vector of incoming radiation. This calibration establishes a relationship between changes in the sensor signal and incident Stokes vector. In the standard procedure, an imager is presented with a set of input Stokes vectors with two different ...

Polarimetric PALSAR Calibration
IEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing, 2009Polarimetric Phased-Array-type L-band Synthetic Aperture Radar (PALSAR) system parameters are assessed using data sets collected over several calibration sites. The data collected over the Amazonian rain forest help validate the hypothesis that Faraday rotation is zero near the equator.

Polarimetric calibration of angles
Measurement Science and Technology, 2003This paper describes a method for calibrating the angles of transparent prism-type optical elements. The optical system used is a manual null polarimeter. The angle of incidence, which is a sensitive parameter in polarimetric and ellipsometric measurements, is first calibrated using the same arrangement. The accuracy of the method is ± 0.004°.
