Polarimetric imaging of amyloid

Micron, 2006
New developments in optical microscopy are discussed with relevance to the imaging of amyloid plaques that are pathognomonic of a variety of degenerative disorders. We present the results of linear birefringence, linear dichroism, and circular dichroism imaging of Congo red stained plaques ex vivo and in vitro.

Visible-regime polarimetric imager: a fully polarimetric, real-time imaging system

Applied Optics, 2003
A fully polarimetric optical camera system has been constructed to obtain polarimetric information simultaneously from four synchronized charge-coupled device imagers at video frame rates of 60 Hz and a resolution of 640 x 480 pixels. The imagers view the same scene along the same optical axis by means of a four-way beam-splitting prism similar to ones

Three-dimensional polarimetric integral imaging

Optics Letters, 2004
A three-dimensional (3D) polarimetric image sensing and display technique based on integral imaging is proposed. Three-dimensional polarization distribution of reflected light from a 3D object can be measured as elemental image arrays by a rotating linear polarizer.

Dual-Polarized Frequency-Diverse Metaimager for Computational Polarimetric Imaging

IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation
A dual-polarized frequency-diverse metaimager (DFM) applicable for computational polarimetric imaging (CPI) is proposed in this article. The proposed DFM working from 18 to 22 GHz can generate spatially random measurement modes at different operating ...

Pyxis handheld polarimetric imager

SPIE Proceedings, 2016
The instrumentation for measuring infrared polarization signatures has seen significant advancement over the last decade. Previous work has shown the value of polarimetric imagery for a variety of target detection scenarios including detection of manmade targets in clutter and detection of ground and maritime targets while recent work has shown ...

Polarimetric imaging detection using a convolutional neural network with three-dimensional and two-dimensional convolutional layers.

Applied Optics, 2020
Polarimetric imaging detection is a relatively new and largely undeveloped field. Although convolutional neural networks (CNNs) have achieved great success in two-dimensional (2D) normal intensity images in the field of target detection, traditional CNN ...
