Intercomparison of simulations using 5 WRF microphysical schemes with dual-Polarization data for a German squall line [PDF]
Simulations of a squall line system which occurred on 12 August 2004 near Munich, Germany are performed using a fine grid version of the Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF) model with five different microphysical schemes.

Experimental validations of insect orientation extraction based on fully polarimetric measurement
The purpose of this study is to demonstrate that the fully polarimetric radar can be effectively used to measure the insect orientation. First, the polarisation scattering matrix (PSM)-based orientation extraction method is reviewed.

Detection of potentially hazardous convective clouds with a dual-polarized C-band radar [PDF]
A method for forecasting very short-term rainfall to detect potentially hazardous convective cloud that produces heavy local rainfall was developed using actual volumetric C-band polarimetric radar data.

Polarimetric optimisation in radar interferometry
A general formulation for vector wave interferometry is outlined and the optimisation problem is then solved, involving maximisation of the phase coherence. In this way it is shown that wave polarisation effects play an important role in the extraction of information from radar interferograms.

Multibaseline Polarimetric SAR Interferometry Coherence Optimization [PDF]
This letter analyzes different approaches for polarimetric optimization of multibaseline (MB) interferometric coherences. Two general methods are developed to simultaneously optimize coherences for more than two data sets. The first method provides every
