The polar selectivities of non-polar reversed phases

Chromatographia, 2001
To reduce the influence of surface silanol groups on the retention of basic solutes reversed phases (RP) have been introduced with polar groups embedded in the anchored alkyl chain. The retention times of strongly basic solutes on such phases are much shorter than on conventional RP columns, and they are eluted with symmetrical peaks.

Polarity reversal correction for elastic reverse time migration

GEOPHYSICS, 2012
Polarity reversals in PS and SP images of elastic reverse time migration will cause destructive interference in the final stacked results, which may lead to an erroneous interpretation. We derive a polarity reversal correction based on an analysis of the polarity distribution of PS and SP images.

Reversing Dighton Rock’s Polarity

2017
American ethnologist Henry Rowe Schoolcraft continues his struggle to understand Dighton Rock and place it in his understanding of American prehistory. He visits the rock in 1849 and declares its markings to be a mix of Icelandic and Indigenous. He then reverses himself and says it is purely Indigenous, based on the reading provided him by the Ojibwa ...

Bistatic scattering reflection asymmetry, polarization reversal asymmetry, and polarization reversal reflection symmetry

IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 1981
Circularly polarized bistatic scattering from plane-symmetric targets with otherwise arbitrary electrical properties exhibits reflection asymmetries, polarization reversal asymmetries, and polarization reversal reflection symmetries which are useful for bistatic radar data interpretation.

Polarization Reversal of Ferroelectric Polymers

Japanese Journal of Applied Physics, 1985
Two kinds of effects of the depolarization field in a ferroelectric crystallite of the polymer on its polarization reversal switching are discussed. Space charges on the crystallite-amorphous phase interface reduce the depolarization field, decelerating the polarization reversal.

Papillary renal neoplasm with reverse polarity

Russian Journal of Archive of Pathology
Papillary renal neoplasm with reverse polarity is a rare subtype of papillary renal cell tumors with unique morphology, specific molecular features and good prognosis. The article presents literature data and describes our own observation of a papillary kidney tumor with reverse nuclear polarity in a 73-year-old patient.

On polarization reversals in ferroelectrics

Integrated Ferroelectrics, 1992
Theoretical aspects of polarization reversals in ferroelectrics will be reviewed, with the emphases placed on the application of the Kolmogorov-Avrami theory and of a lattice model which the author has proposed.
