Multifunctional manipulation of optical fields with multiple degrees of freedom is essential for integrated photonic systems, yet achieving coordinated and independent control of polarization and phase remains challenging. Here, we propose a polarization-

A graded‐interface hydrogel‐polymer electrolyte decouples water activity to simultaneously stabilize the Zn anode and sustain cathode kinetics. The flexible design supports dendrite‐free cycling over 1600 h, high capacity in both MnO2 and V2O5 full cells, and stable pouch‐cell performance under bending, resolving the fundamental water conflict in ...

Solution‐processed Cu(bdc) forms prototypical MOF thin films for which a multitude of not fully satisfactory structural models have been suggested. Combining rotating grazing‐incidence diffraction and X‐ray reflectivity on two complementary samples with density‐functional theory, we first discard the previously suggested models and then identify a non ...

Measuring polarization by reduced-form indices [PDF]
An abbreviated or reduced-form monotonic polarization index is an increasing function of the between-group term and a decreasing function of the within-group term of a population subgroup decomposable inequality index.

Photoelectron spin polarization approaching unity: photoionization of TI
Böwering N, Salzmann M, Müller M, Klausing H-W, Heinzmann U. Photoelectron spin polarization approaching unity: photoionization of TI. Physica Scripta. 1990;41(4):429-432.It is shown that a complete photoelectron-spin polarization occurs independent of ...

The polymer wall stabilized dye‐doped liquid crystals (PWLCs) enhance the sensitivity of photoinduced molecular reorientation in dye‐doped LC systems. The PWLC with an invisible polymer wall successfully reduces the threshold intensity and functions as an optical limiter under the incidence of low intensity light laser source.

Polarization-Independent Micro-Ring Resonator on Silicon-on-Insulator
Polarization-independent laterally-coupled micro-ring resonator has been designed and demonstrated. The origin of the polarization-sensitivity of the photonic wire waveguide (PWW) was analyzed.

3D Polarization-Independent Visible Invisibility
We fabricate and characterize a three-dimensional polarization-independent invisibility cloak operating at visible wavelengths of light. The required drastic miniaturization has become possible by employing stimulated-emission-depletion inspired direct-laser-writing optical lithography with conceptually diffraction-unlimited axial and lateral ...
